I hadn't noticed that poppy seeds come from the shades; I always thought they were black, as they live in breads in Europe, so I can't believe to be told that small grains of sand I was searching at were in main reason, seeds from the poppy seed. Then I was consisted of different coloured seeds, an item of dark-blue, and some associated with a yellow than yellow. Because bread as we know it is not popular, or common your Pakistan, there is no bread with poppy seeds and nuts. The typical roti (or chapattis) remain plain, as are a directory of naan type breads, although a lot of naan are like pizza, and topped with potato paste or gram flour composite with slices of tomato and contains hot green chillies. Only paratha are filled with vegetables such as grated mooli, and these are eaten at weekends for breakfast, when people aren't easily to go to are effective. Nowadays, where I have a home in Rawalpindi, very few people bother to prepare roti, as they are subsidized having a provincial government, and sell at only 2 rupees per roti. Given the amount of time and effort it takes to prepare roti, it's much easier to buy them from a tandoor ready made.
The Latin reputation for the poppy, Papavar somniferum (the poppy of sleep) always reminds me of the scene out of a "Wizard of Oz" when Dorothy with her companions succumb to the somniferous effects of the flowers and examination in a field so as to poppies.
The ancient Greeks associated the poppy of your minor god Hypnos, the god of rest, so I guess the opium from the poppy was the possibility of his twin brother, Morpheus, can be god of dreams. Before I attained Pakistan, I thought poppies would still be cultivated, but I haven't much talked about any poppy fields and there wouldn't be a social problem involving the use of morphine, although heroin is mostly a different matter. Poppy seeds contain little if any trace of narcotics, although the plant they come from are identical one that provides a lot of people with codeine and morphine.
Traditionally poppy seeds are used in medicine on indian. They are cooked far from green cardamoms and sugar to treat diarrhea, and extract from the poppy plant are employed to reduce fevers, help featuring liver complaints and wedding cake TB.
